I'm Still Here

Haven't visited my blog in a while, so I thought I should stop by and give an update on whats going on. I finally graduated from collage. Not that exciting, for me at least. I only have a 2 year degree, so that's better than no degree. But I'm not the type of person who wants to get a bachelor's degree in something and not end up using it. So I figured if I find a job that I like and wish to further my career, then I will go back. Seems more practical in my mind when I'm still unsure were I want to be.

The one thing I am proud about is I'm offically a car owner. When I came home from the dealership with my new car, my mom started to cry and tell me how proud she was of me. That's always something you like to hear from your parents. And if anyone is wondering, I bought a 2010 Ford Fusion. And I have to say I LOVE my car. Definitely a step up from my manual, stripped down Focus that had neither a radio nor a CD player.

And in the means of my story, which I haven't updated in over a year going on two I feel I will continue writing that but my updated might be far and few between. And if I start to update it should be in a couple weeks or so. Atleast thats my hope, for I will have to review what I have already written and what I have drafted. And knowing how I process things, I might be writing everything from scratch.

Pause-rewind-freeze

So yesterday morning my grandmother passed away. As some one who wasn't close to her, I was pretty emotional when I was talking to my mother. I think it has to do with the fact of the relationship we had with each other. For some reason I was the only grandchild that was treated differently, and now I think I understand why. I believe it has to do with the fact we were so similar but I wont go into the details as it is a personal matter and I don't think you all want to read my emotional baggage.

And you want to know something that is disgusting. When my grandmother was being taken to the hospital after her stoke last Friday somebody from the ambulance crew stole her wedding ring that my grandfather gave her. How horrible is that, and to have that emotion on top of all that. It makes me sick that people are capable of doing something like that. Especially as they are suppose to be the people that help you and to steal from a sick elderly women. Just horrible.

And on a side note about my story half of the story in written on paper I just have to type that up and then ill work on the second part of the chapter will be written on Sunday after the funeral. I haven't forgotten about my readers just delaying for obvious reasons.

Sad Times

Okay so school is extremely busy right now but thats not what is keep me and my family down at the moment.

So my Grandmother had a stroke and is in the hospital. Shes not doing well and my family as well as my cousins are in a little bit of a fog with emotions. I was never close to my grandmother because of personal problems between her and I. But it deeply hurts me to see her in pain as well as she is the last parent that my father has.  My grandfather passed away about nine years ago. My emotions are a little conflicted at the moment and its affecting my progress with my story as well as school work.

With the daily reports I'm getting from my parents things dont look promising.

With regards to my story I have over 700 hits and 4 reviews for my first three chapter and I find that exciting. I'm guessing that isn't that much compared to most of the stories that are out there but MANY of them are really good. Which makes me want to go back through all of the ones Ive read and to leave a comment. But the reason I think for the lower view count is because my story goes into the fantasy and supernatural genre and that's pretty AU for some people or its not there cup of tea. Which is all understandable =/.

I really do hope that I can hit 10 reviews by chapter 5 but all I can do is keep my fingers crossed and press on. I have learned that reviews are extremely motivating to an author to continue writing especially when they put a smile on your face.I do hope for more but I'm not always a positive thinker so I have already have reached beyond what I thought I would accomplish.

Witchez

Chapter one I feel was a success. I mean 140 people looked at it within a two day period. Anyway I'm still working on chapter two and its coming along really well. But I had to work today so I didn't get that much time to brainstorm and type. But that still didn't stop me from typing a few paragraphs on my phone,  I was sneaky but don't worry people I still did my job. I'm not a slacker just was bored and had other thing on my mind, like my story.

Unfortunately a few stories that I'm following also updated so I had to read those. So getting out of work at 10.30 then reading the updates and here I am 1am typing as its the first chance I got all day. Shame! Sucks I have to work tomorrow, which means I most likely wont update until tomorrow or this weekend. But with that being said I still have course work and work.

Damn February break you screwed up my homework routine, now I'm behind.

With music and some fruit punch I will continue to strive to get chapter two done so all I have to do is edit and have my mum peer read it. As I don't have a beta or any friends that follow skins or are a Noamily or even a Keffy fan. Actually I don't think any of my friends have even heard of skins as it doesn't air here in the US. But me being the odd person I am, I have many favorite British shows that I watch. Which I'm going to tell many people American remakes of British shows usually suck, watch the original people.!!!!!!!

Concentration

So here I am, at 2 o'clock in the morning and I cant stop writing. I am trying to finish up my first chapter of "Witches". It's the skins story I'm working on. I just about finished the first part that has Emily in it. And I was about to start the second part with Katie and I'm not sure what to do.

See I want to write a great story that people will read and enjoy, yet I don't want to confuse the readers. See I have a tendency to change what tense I'm writing. First ill write in first person and get on a roll, then all of a sudden the scene changes and it will be in third person. Or when I go into a flash back it will be third person but I don't know if it will always be like that. So now before I post it i wish i had someone to read it to tell me even though its changes, it still makes sense and flows nicely. Because come on some scenes or thing are easier to write in different tenses.

So now the dilemma starts as with Katie's part it mostly starts out in third person and most likely will change yet all of Emily's part is first person until you get to her flashback which is third person. Confusing, your telling me.

I guess ill keep writing and hope for the best. It might be posted within the next few days as I am on February break at school.

Story In Progress

Okay some time during high school I wrote this story. I’m not really sure what brought on my sudden desire to write, as I wasn’t that into writing stories. I was more about expressive essays or poems. So here I was, throwing myself head first into this fantasy story. It was about twin sisters that were separated at birth and placed into adoptive homes. (Trust me there is a heck of a lot more about the story, that’s like a tease of information but if I spew out more of the story I would give away what I am going to be writing about for all you FanFiction readers.) I put a lot into forming how the story would progress and what sort of events I wanted to take place. So here I am X amount of years later re-discovering my story. What a load of crock, I spent who knows how many hours on this thing and I find only three chapters and a stack of ideas on how it was to progress. Failure! But now, after reading so many stories on FanFiction, I have a new outlook on this and I feel I can make a story that is totally new. So hopefully all you skins series 3 and 4 fans will like my new take on the Noamily and Keffy pairing. And you want to know what, this series is a perfect reason for me to get my butt back into gear. I’m going to revise my story and turn it into an AU story that no one has done before. Some may have thought about doing something along the lines as me but I haven’t read any yet, so I will give my condolences to those of you who have used similar themes. If you can’t tell already I am beyond excited about this because my story called for twins and I have the perfect twins to use. I definitely hope that you all take a chance at my story once I start posting. And if I post a few chapters and it’s not much of a hit, well ill just cut my losses. With that all said, I hope to get in gear and start my progress on how I wish to get going and begin this new adventure with you all.

Sometimes I do wish I had a fellow fan to not just swap ideas with but to elaborate off of each other. I think that it would help to get the brainstorming on a roll and to help with ideas. But I don’t know if that would help in my case. I for one have many questions I want to ask yet aren’t I the one that should know the answers as it’s my story. Maybe once I get my first chapter posted I might get a good amount of feedback that will help answer those questions that are floating around. So it seems I will have to wait till then.

Let’s get this party started, shall we.
